Le raisin est une plante de la famille de la vigne, dont le fruit, ou plutôt les baies, peut être consommé à la fois cru et transformé . Les raisins proviennent de la vigne sauvage de la région de la mer Caspienne et étaient déjà connus au cinquième millénaire avant notre ère. Actuellement, la vigne est cultivée presque partout dans le monde, mais la première association qui vient à l'esprit concernant les plantations de cette belle plante qui apporte des fruits sucrés et acidulés est le bassin méditerranéen.
Les raisins sont des fruits extrêmement riches en ingrédients bénéfiques à notre santé. Ils contiennent des vitamines : vitamines C, A, E, K et B, ainsi qu'un certain nombre de minéraux : cuivre, chrome, calcium, fer, magnésium, phosphore, potassium, sodium, zinc, manganèse, sélénium et fluor. Leur consommation régulière peut prévenir de nombreuses maladies, avoir un effet positif sur l'élasticité et la fermeté de la peau, être un allié dans la lutte pour préserver la jeunesse et soutenir les processus d'amincissement.
Les produits alimentaires à base de raisin incluent, entre autres. confitures, jus, raisins secs, huiles de pépins de raisin et vinaigres de vin.
