Dr. Jacob's GranaProstan ferment 500ml is a dietary supplement containing pomegranate juice and pulp as well as elderberry polyphenols.

The dietary supplement is produced by fermentation with probiotic bacteria. This process makes the ingredients more accessible to the body. Additionally, Dr. Jacob's GranaProstan contains less sugar compared to fresh juice from the Punica granatum fruit. This means it can also be taken by people struggling with high blood sugar levels.

The product is made without zoonotic additives, so this supplement can also be used by vegans.

According to research findings, pomegranate juice may have properties that reduce lipid peroxidation and act as an antioxidant. Interestingly, it also increases the production of nitric oxide, which naturally dilates blood vessels [1].

Polyphenols are organic compounds of plant origin that belong to the group of phenols and have at least two hydroxyl groups attached to the aromatic ring. Many of them exhibit strong antioxidant properties.

Black elderberry is also an antioxidant but additionally contributes to maintaining normal blood sugar levels. Furthermore, it strengthens the immune system and has a healing effect on the upper respiratory tract after irritation. Moreover, it supports blood circulation and maintains the condition of blood vessels.

Interestingly, Sambucus nigra L. also plays a role in less obvious processes. As part of the diet, it facilitates weight loss and helps maintain weight at a healthy level. Additionally, it contributes to increasing the body's water excretion.
