Veganism involves the exclusion of animal products from the diet: meat, eggs, milk, or honey. A properly balanced meat-free diet can be rich in nutrients, minerals, and vitamins. Instead of meat and animal products, you can opt for high-quality vegan products , which are characterized by high protein content that is easily absorbed by the body.

A variety of products can be used as a good vegan source of protein and essential nutrients, such as:

  • Lentils, beans and peas,

  • cold-pressed oils (e.g. linseed oil)
  • unrefined grain and groats,
  • Sesame,
  • Amaranth,
  • Quinoa,
  • Algae and algae,
  • oilseeds,
  • Yeast (e.g. in the form of flakes).

These are products that contain amino acids, minerals (such as essential iodine, zinc, selenium or iron) and vitamins (B, K, E, A and C) as well as unsaturated omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

It is worth using them both in the form of semi-finished products that allow for versatile use in the kitchen, and looking for products based on them that help replace ordinary dairy products.

Delicious and valuable meat substitute

Wondering what to replace meat with in ready meals? There are numerous options available, and more are added every year. The market for vegan products is growing rapidly, driven by the popularization of such a lifestyle and increasing awareness of the environmental impact of meat consumption. Large-scale industrial production of meat and dairy products contributes significantly to environmental destruction.

Popular meat substitutes include:

  • Tofu – made from soy milk, in the form of cottage cheese, which can be seasoned to taste, is rich in essential amino acids, unsaturated fats and lecithin;
  • Tempeh – made from fermented soybeans, it is a good substitute for dairy and meat and provides protein and iron;
  • Seitan – made from gluten extracted from wheat flour. It is characterized by its low fat content and the presence of B vitamins and nutrients such as selenium, phosphorus, and iron.

A good meat substitute in ready meals can also be:

  • Mushrooms – can be fried, boiled, and baked, and seasoned in a variety of ways. They are a natural source of B vitamins.
  • Legumes – cooked beans, chickpeas or lentils can successfully replace meat in dishes such as stews or casseroles;
  • Vegetable and meat substitutes – based on vegetables such as beets, peas (especially pea protein), with the addition of seeds, valuable fats, and cereals (e.g., millet). They are most commonly available in the form of ready-to-heat cutlets or meatballs.
