Puramedica Selenium 50ml

Selenium - The element of longevity

Selenium is a trace element that controls the work of over 20 enzymes.
Its essential role for the human body and health was proven in the 1990s.

Selenium is a component of glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme that defends the membranes of cellular and red blood cells against the damaging effects of free radicals.
The elimination of free radicals prevents the formation of neoplastic changes in tissues and organs.

The organs that need selenium the most are: liver, thyroid and kidneys.

The average selenium content in an organism depends mainly on its concentration in groundwater and therefore ranges from 3 to 12 mg. Despite its low content, this mineral is extremely important for the health and life of all living things and organisms.

Numerous studies have shown that in areas with higher levels of selenium in soil
and water, significantly longer life spans and fewer cancer patients are recorded than in regions with low concentrations.

Seafood, meat, nuts, and grains are natural sources of selenium
grown in soils with sufficient selenium content.

Puromedica Selenium contains a specially selected form of selenium dissolved in
purified water, which, according to the principles of physiology, guarantees rapid and high absorption in the blood and target organs. Manifestations of selenium deficiency are much more pronounced when accompanied by dietary vitamin E deficiency and/or exposure to toxic metals, particularly mercury.

Selenium works synergistically with vitamin E by blocking harmful processes and oxidation in tissues. Selenium deficiency in men can lead to infertility.
