Some of them are practically identical but with different names. Tomato paste has a slightly tart but fresh flavor that comes from peeled, seedless, and chopped tomatoes. Unlike puree, tomatoes remain in pieces. Its main purpose is dishes based on long cooking at high temperature, such as fish soups or meat sauces. Used cold as a base for the popular Italian bruschetta al pomodoro. The passata, on the other hand, becomes more liquid thanks to the chopped tomatoes and their juice, which is passed through a sieve with olive oil and basil leaves. The passata is also aided with other spices and herbs and even vegetables.

What are sauces and dips used for?

In order to preserve all its properties and its natural sweet taste, it is cooked during production. It is most commonly used in dishes such as meatballs in tomato sauce. Soy sauce, associated with oriental cuisine, is increasingly appearing in European cuisine. It has a distinctive taste, an intense aroma and a deep, dark color. Natural soy sauce only has three ingredients like water, soybeans and grains. The colour, smell and taste are the result of a long fermentation and the sauce does not need any artificial colors or flavors. It's a great alternative to the liquid spice popular in Poland. Just a few drops of soy sauce give the dishes an unmistakable taste that does not require the addition of salt. It also contains many unsaturated fatty acids, B vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber. Known and indispensable for salty snacks, dips are simply cold, thick and spicy sauces based on yoghurt, cottage cheese, cream or mayonnaise. They have a distinct flavor thanks to the company of herbs, fruits and spices. A large selection of sauces and dips can be found on our shop's website.
