INGREDIENTS

Cornmeal* 100% (*certified organic ingredient)

DESCRIPTION

Organic cornmeal, obtained from corn kernels. It is used to prepare the famous Italian polenta or the Romanian mamaliga, which tastes great both sweet, e.g. for breakfast with dried fruit, and savory with main dishes. The porridge also serves as a thickener for soups and sauces, and when ground into flour, it can also be used to prepare pancakes, pudding, and cakes.

PREPARATION

Cook the porridge in salted water at a ratio of 1:2 (1 part porridge to 2 parts water) over low heat for about 10–15 minutes.
