Sprouts are considered a vitamin bomb. And for a good reason. During germination, the ingredients stored in the seed are converted into substances easily assimilated by the body - vitamins and minerals, nutritional proteins, enzymes and unsaturated fatty acids. Sprouts are a real treasure trove of valuable nutrients and have almost no calories. You can add them to salads, soups, cottage cheese, and sprinkle them on sandwiches. It's best to eat them raw because that's when they're most valuable. Only legume sprouts need to be scalded with boiling water.
