Tabletop sweetener erythritol and steviol glycosides

Erythritol is a natural, low-calorie sweetener. It is commonly found in fruits, vegetables, as well as plant seeds and mushrooms. Erythritol has a slightly sweet taste. Erythritol does not cause tooth decay. After ingestion, it is quickly eliminated from the body. The advantage of this product is that it does not have a laxative effect, even in large quantities. Erythritol has been enriched with steviol glycosides. Steviol glycosides have been used as a sweetener in South America for hundreds of years. Steviol glycosides are 250 to 350 times sweeter than regular sugar. They are obtained from the leaves of a plant called stevia ( Stevia rebaudiana ). The leaves of this plant are kept under water for a week. The resulting aqueous solution is then purified and dried to obtain steviol glycoside crystals.

Usage: Use like white sugar. It can be used for cooking, baking or sweetening, thus reducing the calorie content of the prepared food.
