What to eat for a beautiful and healthy complexion?
In autumn, our skin is much more susceptible to irritation. It can be affected by changeable weather and increasingly severe autumn and winter weather patterns, such as strong winds and rain. The face is particularly sensitive to micro-damage. Why? The answer is simple: the skin there is extremely sensitive. Furthermore, it is usually uncovered and is constantly exposed to cold, moisture, and frost.
Therefore, it's worth regularly caring for your facial skin, taking care of its regeneration, hydration, and oiliness. We've already mentioned on our blog how important detoxification of the entire body is in this process, but it should be noted that a diet geared toward maintaining healthy, beautiful skin year-round, regardless of the weather outside, plays a vital role. Creams and other cosmetics play a significant role here, although they can be helped by choosing the right diet. So, what should you eat? Below are some tips.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants , or antioxidants, are invaluable, as they significantly weaken the activity of free radicals, thus preventing, for example, the appearance of wrinkles. They also have a positive effect on skin elasticity and regenerate collagen fibers. Providing them to our bodies shouldn't be a problem, as they are found in readily available products that can easily be incorporated into our daily diet. So where to look for antioxidants? Among other things, they can be found in blueberries, currants, and cranberries, but also in apples, oregano, rosemary, and beans, for example.
Unsaturated fatty acids
Unsaturated fatty acids are an essential component of almost every diet. This is due to their cleansing properties, which effectively remove toxins from our bodies. They also accelerate skin regeneration and effectively moisturize. For this reason, they are the ingredient that offers the most benefits to people prone to allergies and dry facial skin. Unsaturated fatty acids are found primarily in fatty marine fish, such as mackerel or salmon, avocados, and nuts.
Vitamins
The vitamins that have the most beneficial effects on our skin are vitamins A, B, C, and E. To discuss them in order: Vitamin A prevents our skin from becoming dry, vitamin B effectively eliminates inflammation, vitamin C strengthens blood vessels, and the last of these, vitamin E, improves skin elasticity and gives it a youthful, healthy appearance. Look for them all in vegetable oils, seeds, bran, sprouts, and green, yellow, and red vegetables.
These are just three product groups, although you should keep in mind that there are many more. For example, macro- and microelements, which also prevent skin damage and aging, are worth mentioning. However, remember that our planned diet should, above all, be sensible, as an excess of any ingredient is just as harmful as a deficiency.
