Vegetable and animal fats are an energy-rich part of our daily diet. They differ mainly in their influence on the human body.

The former are particularly desirable for their beneficial effects on the circulatory system – they reduce the risk of a heart attack. It's worth noting that only unrefined, low-temperature pressed oils are rich in essential fatty acids responsible for their health-promoting properties.

A properly composed menu should provide no more than 30% of the energy derived from fats, while animal fats should not exceed 10%.

Vegetable fats are obtained from various parts of plants, including seeds (sunflower), seeds (pumpkin), sprouts (wheat), pulp (avocado) and nuts (coconut). Vegetable fats include liquid vegetable oils, olive oil and vegetable margarines, which result from the chemical hardening of oils.

Please note that not all fats are suitable for cooking. Linseed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and should be consumed cold, i.e. not heated. Olive oil, which contains monounsaturated fatty acids, can be used for short-term heat treatment. Coconut oil, on the other hand, is rich in saturated fatty acids and can be used in the kitchen for long-term frying or baking.

In our store you will find a wide range of vegetable fats, from traditional and well-known such as sunflower oil or olive oil to rare, for example sacha inchi seed oil. The shop's range includes oils and oils from controlled organic cultivation.
