Essentials für Silvester: Natürliche Gesichtsmasken

New Year's Eve parties are fun, that's a fact, but all ladies know that the hours leading up to them are much more enjoyable when spent carefully preparing! Manicure, pedicure, bath, hair styling... and, of course, a beautifying mask.

Instead of applying mysterious and dangerous-sounding chemicals to your face a few hours before the end of the year, make your own natural, fresh masks that will make your skin glow and leave you feeling exceptionally beautiful in the new year! We have some mask recipes for you that you can make at home using ingredients you can find in our organic store.

Cleansing mask with green clay

If your skin is prone to impurities, blemishes, and excessive sebum production, masks with various types of clay are perfect. Green clay, in particular, is famous for its purifying properties, so it's perfect for you! Mix half a level teaspoon of clay with one tablespoon of full-fat Greek yogurt, apply to a cleansed face, and leave on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Clay cleanses the skin, and the fat contained in yogurt prevents it from drying out.

Moisturizing mask with Manuka honey and oat flakes

Manuka honey is a treasure trove of valuable nutrients—and it also has gentle antiseptic and brightening properties, making it a great base for masks and can even be used on its own. In a grinder or blender, combine ground oats with enough honey to create a thick but spreadable paste. Smooth the mask onto your skin and leave it on for about half an hour, then rinse thoroughly. Your face will be pleasantly soft, moisturized, and nourished. Note: Those sensitive to gluten should choose gluten-free oatmeal.

Brightening and nourishing mask with spirulina

Spirulina is considered a superfood —a food with exceptional nutritional and health-promoting properties—but did you know it can be just as amazing when applied to your skin instead of eating it? Mix less than a tablespoon of spirulina powder with a sufficient amount of your favorite hydrosol (such as orange blossom water or witch hazel) to create a paste with the consistency of a thick cream. Apply it to your face and leave it on for a few minutes, then rinse. The effect? Radiant, oxygen-rich skin!

Banana mask with mattifying effect

On New Year's Eve, we all want to glow, but definitely none of us want to shine, which is why a mattifying mask is an absolute must! And it's literally a "mousse," because you make it with a carefully mashed ripe banana (less than half of a medium-sized fruit is enough), a teaspoon of honey, and a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Apply the mask to your face for about 20 minutes, and after washing it off, enjoy nourished skin with a beautiful silky glow!
