This product contains zinc in the highly absorbable form of the amino acid chelate of zinc. This compound is characterized by easier penetration of the walls of the small intestine and thus greater bioavailability.

Zinc is a very important micronutrient. The daily requirement for an adult varies between 10 and 15 mg. It is most commonly ingested in diets of primarily animal origin. Unfortunately, only about 10% of zinc is absorbed from food. The absorption of zinc from plant foods is much more difficult, so the most common zinc deficiency occurs in areas where foods of plant origin predominate in the diet.
