Bulgarian Olympic scandal and world fame. Learn more about the history and properties of Tribulus Terrestris. The trend toward Tribulus Terrestrial arose from the fact that in the early 1970s, a certain Jeffrey Peterman, an American bodybuilder, revealed revelations about this plant to the world. The plant was supposed to increase testosterone levels and stimulate muscle growth. A myth was created that would lead to a doping scandal in Seoul in 1988.
The Olympic Games were underway. Bulgarian weightlifters were winning medals wholesale. When asked about the basis of their success, they pointed to the exceptional properties of the earth club. Unfortunately, as it turned out, their victories resulted from the use of anabolic steroids. Tribulus was not to blame.
Tribulus terrestris is quite widespread across the globe. It is found in Africa, Asia, Australia, and Southern and Central Europe. Due to its adaptability, it is often found outside its native habitat. It is occasionally found in Poland as an imported species.
What are the properties of the earth club ?
A number of studies conducted on the plant in the 21st century have not shown that Tribulus terrestris increases testosterone levels or muscle mass in any way. Although research does not confirm the effects of Tribulus, it still has its followers who note the plant's effects on their bodies—muscle growth, fat burning, and increased testosterone.
What we do know about Tribulus is that it contains compounds called saponins, indoles, and polyphenols. These compounds inhibit the activity of enzymes that process anabolic testosterone. In this way, it has a beneficial effect by preventing gynecomastia, or hypertrophy of the male mammary glands. Tribulus terrestris may also influence the regulation of blood pressure and cholesterol levels. This is due to the presence of flavonoids and phytosterols in Tribulus.
There's no doubt that there has been much controversy surrounding the terrestrial mace. It's also certain that this plant has been used in various corners for centuries, and its potential has been recognized by people all over the world. A dietary supplement will definitely work if we lead an active lifestyle. It supports us in the fight against urinary and circulatory problems, has a positive effect on kidney regeneration and function, and can also help lower triglyceride and total cholesterol levels.
