What are tocotrienols and how are they used?
Tocotrienols, together with tocopherols, form vitamin E. These are organic chemical compounds with antioxidant properties. High concentrations of tocotrienols are found in nuts, many seeds, and vegetable oils, for example. Studies on tocotrienols demonstrate their ability to lower blood cholesterol levels and have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system.
Knowledge about tocotrienols was relatively limited. What properties do tocotrienols have?

They demonstrate that the presence of an unsaturated carbon side chain allows tocotrienols to penetrate tissues containing layers of saturated fat more effectively than tocopherols. For this reason, modern dietary supplements should be tocotrienol-based.
Tocotrienols also have properties that slow the aging process and combat free radicals. It's worth rethinking your eating habits and paying more attention to products containing health-promoting tocotrienols. This makes it all the more reasonable to assume that products like nuts and seeds provide the body with other valuable nutrients (including unsaturated fatty acids) in addition to tocotrienols.
